| Mid Day Meal Program |
The prime activity of the Akshaya Patra Foundation is the cooking and distribution of mid day meals to needy children in government schools to foster literacy and education. The immediate goal is to reach out to one million children by 2010. Akshaya Patra is a unique & successful example of a Public Private Partnership(PPP) in the Mid Day Meal sector. |
| Medical Assistance |
To take care of the health Akshaya Patra provides medical assistance in the form of de-worming and vitamin supplements to the children in these schools, in partnership with other charitable organizations. |
| Life skills Training |
The program aims to develop in children, certain essential skills for better living such as creativity, critical thinking, dealing with stress, problem solving, communication, interpersonal skills, etc. |
