| Literacy |
Sankalp allows non-formal enrolment—children can join irrespective of their age. The organisation aims at providing an overall development for its students and emphasis is laid on co-curricular activities for students. The students are also given a mid-day meal every day, and provided with winter and summer clothing and appropriate footwear as well. Sankalp Vidyarthis are children who have completed their education till Class IV at Sankalp. They are admitted to schools run by the state government in neighbouring localities. The entire cost of their further education is borne by Sankalp. |
| Skill training |
Sankalp runs courses in tailoring, beauty care and computers meant for older children and adults. |
| Healthcare |
This is a new initiative at Sankalp in 2006. All students will have regular general health checkups and any follow-up treatment required will be arranged for by Sankalp. |
