Programs
Program Name Program Objective
AIDS Helpline and Telephone Counselling Service The helpline provides information about HIV/AIDS in two languages—English and Kannada. About 100–120 calls are received per day.
Sexual Health Education Project in Schools and Colleges trains teachers in imparting a particular curriculum to students in the age group of 13 to 15 years. The curriculum deals with development of life-skills, character development, HIV/AIDS, and other sexually transmitted diseases.
The TDH Project Started in 2001, this programme has the following sub-projects - Voluntary Counselling and Testing Centre, Free HIV/AIDS clinic, Focus on children, Vocational training for women..
Prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV This project was started in 2002 and seeks to incorporate PMTCT services into antenatal services in six medical institutions in the districts of Bangalore and Kolar.
The Milana Project This project works with women in prostitution (numbering around 900) and is conducted along with three other NGOs.
